Due to unforeseen circumstances, the airbnb we had originally booked was unavailable. However, Brittney took it upon herself to find us other accommodations which were just as great and within the same block radius as our originally booked location. This was way above and beyond they level of customer service I expected! I would highly recommend using any of Brittney's properties. If this level of customer service attention is any kind of sign of the details she puts into her units, I can imagine they are just as wonderful as she is. I will definitely book with her again!

This is our second time staying at this location. The location is the main reason we chose it as it is very conveniently located to the grocery store, a couple of restaurants and the Blue Moon Bar. The accommodations are pretty basic but very typical for Lava Hot Springs. It was clean and nice. My wife's only real complaint was the lack of counter space in the bathroom. We would stay here again.

The suite is super cute and cozy! I love how they’re thoughtful about details in the room. Like their towels. They’re color coded. Which I love! I also love that there is a bar right next door. And good around the corner. The distance to everything is just so close, since we’re in the middle. One downside is that when you’re at the bottom at the top is way too loud. The steps are super loud, mostly when they’re walking in heels. But other than that the stay is great! Brittney is always super fast at responding and super friendly! Definitely will be back! This place was very disgusting, my husband and I stayed two nights in a kitchen suite. We like to cook instead of going out to eat and I had to wash the dishes before I even used them, then had to re-wash them so we didn't get charged an extra $15. I always clean up after myself anyways but thought it was a little redicoulous to be charged extra if you didn't, especially being charged with a cleaning fee when you book the room. Our sheets were not washed from the previous people, there were multiple stains all over them and all over the side of the bed. I had to remove all the sheets and blankets just to feel ok sleeping in the bed. The sinks in the bathroom are way backed up, I felt like the security deposit was way too much and they had way too many fees. If you didn't get checked out by 11am they will charge another $30 fee, also they only have 5 parking spots for the whole building. Definitely will not be coming back to this place.

There was a fishy smell in that hall ( I'm assuming from the bar next door) but we couldn't smell it in the apartment. Great location. The only way to heat the place is with space heaters (which was provided). So it was cold when we got there. It did heat up pretty quickly though with the space heaters. 2. It is right next to a bar. No problems with noise or anything, but not ideal for us (maybe that’s a great thing for other guests). Overall, I would recommend this place and would be happy to stay here again!

You definitely cannot beat the location of this rental, right in the heart of the action on Main Street. The unit was as described. The building itself is a little beat up and old but each unit has been remodeled and is being well maintained. The Positive: - Location, location, location! My partner and I travel to Lava often and hands down it’s soo much more enjoyable to be located in town. From this location you can quickly get to the pools, river or the springs, making it super convenient for swapping gear or changes of clothes throughout the day. - There’s a bar in the same building!Bonus - the Blue Moon stays open late, so it’s your last option for midnight grub and/or drinks in Lava. Convenient for a late night at the springs. We found the Blue Moon bartenders and regulars to be a lot of fun! The Negative: - In order to check in you need to download an app, outside of the Airbnb app. What happened to just using Airbnb to check-in and check-out? Please get rid of the second app - it feels fishy and it’s super inconvenient. Is this even allowed on Airbnb? - The code we received didn’t work to get inside our suite. While Brittney did respond to my texts (outside of the Airbnb app), it took us about 30 minutes to get inside. It took multiple resets of the code until one finally stuck (we thought). - After getting through the check-in fiasco, we were ready to get on with our day (now a half hour delayed from what we planned). We were eager to take full advantage of the location by using it to swap gear and clothes with different activities throughout the day, but when we came back from the pools (wet and ready to change our clothes) our key code didn’t work. To make it worse, since we were at the pools we left our phones in the suite, leaving us with no so way to contact Brittney. Panic! We went into Blue Moon to see if anyone working there happened to have Brittney’s contact info, and a phone we could use to call her. Our hearts sunk when the bartender said she had no idea who even owned the suites. Thankfully, there was a regular at the bar that happened to know the owner prior to Brittney, and they were able to get Brittney’s phone number for us. We totally lucked out and couldn’t be more thankful to the local that helped us. By the time we got into our suite for the second time we had zero confidence in the system and waited in our room for an hour while Brittney had her cleaning lady hand deliver us an actual key. The time spent getting into this suite was a time suck, an emotional drain, and left us in an entirely helpless situation. Not to mention costly - we felt indebted to the local so we put a beer on his tab. - Uncomfortable bed. - Shower doesn’t drain, so the tub fills up to your calves before you’re done washing your hair. - Shower head was old and busted, spraying more water toward the shower curtain than on your body. I’m confident that all these issues can easily be fixed, making these suites the perfect stay in Lava. Until that happens, you couldn’t pay me to stay there and go through that again.

My only complaints were the lack of AC in the bedroom and the shower head was not the greatest (extreme pressure caused water to leak all over the floor- not the easiest nor most pleasant shower experience). Lava Hot Springs is an amazing experience. If you're like me, you prefer your hot springs natural, meaning scalding water from the mountain mixing with the river to create the perfect temperature. There is still a place like that in Lava Hot, though most have been covered with cement and turned into bath tubs and swimming pools. You don't go for the lodging. You go for the uniqueness of the place.

Horrible customer service. We stripped the room clean and they still charged us a cleaning fee. We vaped out the window, we weren’t aware we weren’t allowed to, they told us to stop so we did. They took our $200 security deposit and didn’t tell us why we got our deposit taken away, we had to tell to find out it was from the vaping in the beginning, when she told to stop she never said it would affect the deposit. The sheets also had old bloods stains on them. The room smelt awful and was very musty. The pull out bed on the couch was so uncomfortable as well. Do not recommend staying here!!!!!

We had a wonderful time, and fell in love with the town of Lava Hot Springs! And felt at home in Brittney's lovely Airbnb, centrally located to walk to the hot springs and to dinner and breakfast! The TV, kitchen, and nice shower were welcome to us travelers!
